2. Services Description

Layer42Labs provides commercial support, deployment infrastructure, and fine-tuning services for Large Language Models (LLMs) specialized in the Greek language.

While we facilitate the corporate use of these models, you acknowledge that the underlying model weights for Krikri-8B and Meltemi are open research products developed by the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (Athena RC). These models are subject to their own specific community licenses (e.g., Llama 3.1 Community License), which you must adhere to independently of these Terms.

3. Intellectual Property

Our IP: The content, branding, API infrastructure, and proprietary deployment code specific to this website and our commercial platform are the property of Layer42Labs.

Research IP: The model weights, training datasets (where applicable), and associated scientific findings remain the intellectual property of their respective creators at the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (Athena RC).

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to use our services to:

• Generate content that violates EU regulations, Greek laws, or the Acceptable Use Policy of the base models (e.g., Meta Llama 3).
• Reverse engineer our proprietary API infrastructure or fine-tuning pipelines.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers, networks, or other client data.

5. Limitation of Liability

Our services are provided "as is." Layer42Labs makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or "hallucination-free" nature of the AI model outputs. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our services.

6. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece and the European Union. Any disputes relating to these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens.
